After 8 years, Jason's time on the Yucca Mountain Project ended today as planned. It was a bittersweet day for him. He's ready to move on to new challenges, but also disappointed that the Project is facing more budget cuts and many of his co-workers and friends lost their jobs. All because of politics. Silliness, he would say.
So he's off to start his new job as the deputy Public Affairs manager for Bechtel National, Inc., on Monday. Yucca Mountain brought us to Las Vegas and provided Jason with great experience and great co-workers that will be his friends for life.
Now we look forward to a new adventure.

If Jason is starting on Monday, when are you all moving? What did Melissa decide? Is she staying or going???? How exciting, change is always good! we're glad Jason still has a job!
We were in Maryland last summer when Kurt's oldest son got married. Now maybe we can find an excuse to go back. I loved it back there, but it is a long way from your family... Kari
Jessie....we are moving at the end of July, after Melissa finishes her summer softball season. She decided to go with us and we are all so excited. We're not ready to be without her yet. We still have one more year.
Kari....come visit us anytime! We love company. We are sad that it is so far away from family, but excited for the change.
